Royal Heating and Cooling was established in May of 2006. It was
started by Bobby Price, a fulltime career firefighter with The City of
Greenwood Fire Dept.. He has an extensive history in HVAC. Bobby is a
graduate of the Heating, Cooling and Ventilation class from ITT Institute
of Indianapolis. Bobby began his career with a local heating and cooling
company in June of 1993, after graduating with honors from ITT. Bobby
started just like any other entry level person, in the shop doing rough
pulls and sheet metal fabrication. After about a year of working in the
shop he then got to try his hand at deliveries. Bobby rather enjoyed
this, but just wasn't happy driving the delivery truck. After another year
in the truck he was offered a job in the field doing rough ins. This was a
great opportunity for Bobby to get out of the new guy stage and show off
what he had went to school for. After another year of doing new home rough
ins, Bobby got his chance at doing finishes. This is where they go in and
connect all the wiring and weld the cooper lines for the A/C. Bobby did
this for about a year and then was promoted to a Service Technician (this
is what he went to college for).
Bobby resigned his position from that company in November of 2001 to
pursue a career in firefighting. He has been a career firefighter since
that date. It was in May of 2006 that he could finally start his own
heating /cooling business due to a contract he had signed with that
company. Bobby never gave up his interest in repairing furnaces and air
conditioners and realized he could make some extra money on his days off
from the fire department. THE REST IS HISTORY!!!! |
